K & B Surgical Center is a leading specialty medical practice committed to operational excellence and continuous innovation. As part of this effort, we are building and integrating a modern healthcare application designed to support clinical and administrative workflows across the organization.

We are at an exciting stage of development and are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who doesn't just write great code, but thinks strategically, drives product decisions, and enjoys taking ownership beyond engineering. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing healthcare technology initiative while helping shape both the platform and the engineering culture behind it.

What You'll Do

● Own and drive full-stack feature development from architecture through production deployment

● Lead engineering sprints by defining scope, writing tickets, breaking down epics, and ensuring successful delivery

● Collaborate directly with founders and stakeholders to shape product strategy and roadmap decisions

● Identify opportunities for improvement and proactively propose solutions as the platform evolves

● Translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives for non-technical audiences

● Support product demonstrations, customer meetings, and investor discussions when needed

● Mentor junior engineers and establish engineering best practices

● Help define technical architecture and long-term scalability strategies

Backend Requirements

● Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js

● Experience with NestJS or a comparable enterprise-grade Node.js framework

● PostgreSQL, including query optimization, migrations, and TypeORM

● Experience with AWS services such as S3, RDS, SES, Rekognition, Textract, OpenSearch, and Transcribe

● Familiarity with REST API design and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation

● Experience integrating third-party platforms such as Salesforce, RingCentral, Zoom, Google BigQuery, OpenAI, and Cal.com

● Experience with Docker and environment-based configuration management

● Knowledge of JWT authentication and role-based access control

● TensorFlow.js / machine learning development experience — building, training, deploying, or integrating machine learning models into production systems. We use TensorFlow.js to power AI-driven features and are actively expanding our machine learning capabilities.

Frontend Requirements

● Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript

● Experience with Material UI and styled-components

● State management and data fetching using TanStack Query (React Query)

● Experience with Formik and Yup for form management and validation

● Familiarity with FullCalendar, ReactFlow, Nivo Charts, TinyMCE, DnD Kit, and similar UI libraries

● Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets, Socket.io, Twilio Video, or similar technologies

● Strong attention to UI/UX quality and detail

● 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience

● Proven track record of shipping production-quality software

● Experience leading projects, managing sprint execution, and driving delivery

● Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive ownership mindset

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

● Experience creating polished product presentations, demos, or technical documentation

● Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities

● Healthcare, SaaS, or enterprise software experience is a plus
