Talent Software Services is recruiting for a client seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to support the development and modernization of external-facing applications. The engineering team is focused on building new products and migrating legacy applications to modern AWS-based solutions using React and Node.js.

About the Role

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will work within the Information Technology division, collaborating with Operations and key business units to develop software solutions that improve data quality, automate processes, and support business objectives.

This role requires strong hands-on expertise in JavaScript ES6, React, Node.js, and AWS serverless development. You’ll contribute to application development, testing automation, and improvements to engineering frameworks while helping modernize legacy systems.

The team follows a collaborative, cross-functional approach, with engineers contributing to both core development and improvements in testing and automation. The ideal candidate is a motivated senior engineer who communicates clearly, works independently with minimal guidance, and is comfortable collaborating with distributed teams in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze existing procedures and business requirements to identify opportunities for improved data quality and process automation.

•Design, develop, and implement full-stack applications using React, Node.js, and AWS cloud services.

•Build and modernize external user-facing products, including the migration of legacy applications to AWS-based architectures.

•Develop serverless software solutions that support efficient data management, automation, and business processes.

•Design, implement, and monitor microservices to support scalable and reliable applications.

•Work with relational and NoSQL databases to support application functionality and data processing requirements.

•Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and improvements to development and testing frameworks.

•Apply established engineering standards and software development practices to promote consistency, reduce risk, and improve efficiency.

•Participate in technical design and architecture discussions, applying sound object-oriented design and distributed systems principles.

•Collaborate with engineering teams, Operations, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.

•Work independently on development tasks while maintaining clear communication and coordination with remote teammates.

Required Qualifications

•At least 7 years of professional software development experience.

•Strong hands-on experience building full-stack applications using Node.js and React.js in a cloud environment.

•Strong proficiency in JavaScript ES6.

•Extensive working knowledge of AWS serverless architecture, including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, and RDS.

•Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases.

•Experience designing, developing, and monitoring microservices.

•Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, such as Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.

•Strong understanding of object-oriented design, computer science fundamentals, and software engineering principles.

•Working knowledge of distributed architecture patterns.

•Knowledge of systems analysis and design, including OOAD, UML, and database design.

•Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern software engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience with event-driven architecture and stream-processing patterns.

•Exposure to agentic AI and large language model (LLM)-based tools, such as Claude, Copilot, LangChain, or similar platforms, for development acceleration or automation.

•Experience with infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or similar tools.

•Familiarity with AWS services and networking components such as KMS, ALB/ELB, Route 53, and VPC.

•Experience with GitHub-based CI/CD workflows.

•Background in high-frequency data monitoring or related tooling.

•Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

•Exposure to additional programming languages such as Java or Python. These are supplementary skills and do not replace the need for strong React and Node.js expertise.

•Relevant AWS or professional certifications.
