You will help design and implement reliable APIs, create responsive and accessible user experiences, and contribute to application quality through testing and thoughtful engineering practices.

The ideal candidate brings at least three years of experience developing with Python and React, communicates effectively with technical partners, and is comfortable working across the application stack. The pay range for this position is $50.00 to $55.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Applicants should have three or more years of professional Python development experience and three or more years of React development experience. Candidates should have hands-on experience designing RESTful APIs with Flask, including middleware, blueprints, and the application factory pattern. Experience with FastAPI is also required, including asynchronous endpoints, dependency injection, Pydantic models, and OpenAPI documentation.

Strong candidates will have experience using SQLAlchemy for ORM modeling, relationship mapping, and query optimization, as well as familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as pytest. Candidates should also understand the principles of responsive, accessible, and performant interface design.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and improve backend services and APIs using Python, Flask, and FastAPI. Design API endpoints and supporting application components with attention to maintainability, security, performance, and clear documentation. Build and refine data models with SQLAlchemy, map relationships between entities, and improve database query performance as needed.

Create and maintain React interfaces using Kendo UI and TypeScript. Develop reusable components, manage application state, and ensure interfaces work effectively across screen sizes and user needs. Collaborate with team members to integrate frontend applications with backend services, investigate and resolve defects, and contribute to code reviews and technical discussions. Write and maintain unit tests, participate in improving development practices, and help deliver reliable, well-documented application features.
