# Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack

## About the Role

Bluesky is building a social media application and an open protocol that supports a broad ecosystem of interconnected applications and clients, including microblogging, photos, video, and long-form writing. As a **Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack**, you will build and maintain internal moderation applications and user-safety tools that support teams responsible for keeping millions of users safe.

You will work closely with internal operations and product teams to develop moderation and labeling tools, gather feedback from moderators, and continuously improve their workflows and toolkit.

## Key Responsibilities

* Implement and maintain features in a large-scale, mature React application used internally for moderation and labeling.

* Collaborate with product teams to execute moderation tooling initiatives.

* Gather feedback from moderators and use it to drive improvements to internal moderation tools.

* Contribute across the full stack, including frontend and backend application development.

* Work effectively within a small, fast-moving engineering team.

## Required Qualifications

* Strong fundamental programming and software engineering skills.

* Extensive experience building large-scale applications using **TypeScript and React**, including approximately **5+ years of experience**.

* Experience building and maintaining large React applications and relatively large production codebases.

* Experience working across the full stack, including frontend and backend development.

* Strong understanding and appreciation of UI/UX quality.

* Ability to collaborate effectively with product and internal operations teams.

* Ability to work effectively on small, fast-moving teams.

* Interest in shaping the future of social networking.

* Proximity to or willingness to travel to Seattle.

## Compensation & Benefits

* **Base Salary:** $170,000–$270,000, excluding equity.

* Equity is considered as part of the total compensation package.

* Final base salary depends on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
