Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer at Blue Arc Welds ME. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support the company’s welding equipment and related digital services, such as configuration tools, monitoring platforms, and internal systems. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, implementing back-end services and APIs, integrating software with hardware and data sources, and participating in code reviews. The role also involves troubleshooting and resolving defects, optimizing performance and reliability, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, and contributing to documentation and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming with modern languages and frameworks relevant to back-end systems.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining APIs, services, and databases.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage time independently, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
• Familiarity with industrial, manufacturing, or IoT-related software is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
