Role Description The WordPress Developer will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining the foundation’s WordPress websites to effectively showcase initiatives, programs, and donation opportunities. Day-to-day tasks include developing and updating themes and plugins, optimizing site performance, implementing responsive layouts, and ensuring a user-friendly experience across devices. The role involves collaborating with content and communications teams to publish pages, configure navigation, and integrate multimedia and forms. The developer will troubleshoot technical issues, manage backups and security measures, and support SEO and analytics integrations. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Accra, with some work from home acceptable as project needs allow.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design skills.
• Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development and general Web Development skills.
• Candidates should possess practical Web Design skills focused on usability and accessibility.
• Experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and customizations, including PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with website performance optimization, security best practices, and SEO fundamentals.
• Ability to translate non-technical requirements into effective web solutions and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
