We’re partnering with a well-funded, venture-backed AI startup building an operating system for a large, underserved enterprise market. Founded as a spinout from an established industry leader, the company combines the speed and ownership of an early-stage startup with the stability and resources of an existing enterprise business.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join a small, highly technical team at an inflection point, where you’ll have significant ownership over product architecture, technical direction, and the development of production AI systems used in real-world business operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems, including multi-agent architectures, orchestration frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluation pipelines, and context engineering solutions
• Own product development from architecture and technical design through deployment and ongoing operations
• Build and maintain full-stack applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and Python
• Configure, deploy, and manage production infrastructure and web services
• Develop solutions for large-scale data extraction, processing, and automation workflows
• Collaborate closely with leadership and engineering peers to influence technical direction and product strategy
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities and requirements evolve rapidly

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on expertise with:
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• React
• Next.js
• Node.js
• Python
• Proven experience shipping AI features into production, including one or more of:
• AI agents
• Multi-agent systems
• Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Agent orchestration frameworks
• Evaluation pipelines
• Context engineering systems
• Demonstrated experience owning systems and features end-to-end
• Experience configuring and managing production web infrastructure
• Strong architectural judgment and ability to operate independently

Preferred Skills

• Experience working at startups or early-stage companies (particularly teams under 50 employees)
• Background building products in highly ambiguous environments
• Experience with enterprise software, workflow automation, or operational AI systems
• Familiarity with large-scale document processing, extraction, or knowledge systems
• Experience leading technical implementation while remaining deeply hands-on

Pay range and compensation package

$190,000–$270,000 base salary + meaningful equity
