Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer at Elkano Asset Management. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs that support core asset management platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing code for performance and reliability, and integrating with internal and external systems. The role involves writing clean, testable, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, data, and operations. The Software Engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, contribute to architectural decisions, and help improve development workflows and automation.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, building and maintaining APIs, services, and databases.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or similar).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
• Comfort working in remote, collaborative environments, with strong communication and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in financial services, asset management, or working with data-intensive systems is a plus.
