Andersen is hiring a Full Stack Developer (Node.js+React) for a project developing secure, scalable services and integrations with a focus on data protection and platform reliability.
The customer is a technology-driven software quality services provider that helps organizations improve the reliability, usability, and performance of their digital products. It combines quality engineering expertise, flexible delivery models, and technology-enabled services to support web, mobile, and other digital solutions across multiple industries.
The project is focused on developing and enhancing secure backend services and integrations, with an emphasis on data protection, authentication, authorization, and file storage security. It also includes integrating third-party systems to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure platform operations.
Working hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM CET, overlap with US working hours.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and evolving Node.js/TypeScript microservices across a mature, AWS-based SaaS platform.
- Designing and implementing cross-service data aggregation using GraphQL over REST microservices, including BFF-style composition, sorting, filtering, and search.
- Building and maintaining event-driven workflows with Kafka, including producers/consumers, delivery guarantees, retries, DLQs, and outbox patterns.
- Developing frontend features using React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Apollo.
- Building and modernizing Public APIs, including JWT-based authorization, pre-signed URLs, third-party integrations, and Node.js upgrades.
- Testing delivered functionality and participating in PR reviews to ensure code quality before production releases.
Must-haves:
- Backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including production experience with microservice architectures, for 6+ years.
- Strong understanding and practical experience designing distributed systems, including consistency, asynchronous workflows, failure handling, retries/idempotency, event ordering, concurrent update handling, and service aggregation.
- Hands-on experience applying the following patterns, with a clear understanding of how they work and when to use them: Transactional Outbox / dual-write consistency, consumer groups and fan-out, idempotent consumers, ordering guarantees via partition keys, optimistic locking, BFF / aggregation layer, and DLQ.
- Familiarity with Saga and CQRS.
- Hands-on production experience with Kafka or equivalent event-streaming technologies, including data consistency, dual-write handling, delivery guarantees, and failure scenarios.
- Production experience with React and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience using GraphQL as an aggregation/composition layer across backend services.
- Strong experience with AWS, particularly Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, and ECS.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Mature AI-assisted development practices, particularly with Claude Code, including strong review discipline and experience with skills, hooks, and MCP.
- Experience with JWT-based authorization models and S3 pre-signed URLs.
- Experience with Koa and Serverless Framework.
- Ability to read and understand PHP code for occasional work with legacy systems.
