About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, PORTAL APPLICATION is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining microservices for a provider-facing web portal. The role supports improving user experience and system functionality to positively impact patient outcomes. This position requires adapting to evolving technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in design and technical decisions to ensure high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers from ideation to release and maintenance.
• Build and maintain highly available systems supporting business applications.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor development team members.
• Enhance processes and promote best practices.
• Support QA activities alongside quality assurance teams.
• Contribute to compliance initiatives.
• Handle protected health information in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• BS degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 6+ years software development experience with secure, scalable web applications using NodeJS, TypeScript, React.
• Experience with front-end development and software lifecycle processes.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven and Domain-Driven Development.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, and S3.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, REST API design, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong relational database design and optimization skills.
• Proficient in Linux fundamentals, object-oriented programming, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, container technologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Remote USA $125,600—$157,000 USD
