Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused QA Engineer / Software Tester to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of software applications. This role is responsible for planning and executing testing activities across web and software products, identifying defects, and ensuring that deliverables meet defined quality standards and business requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. You will review requirements, design test scenarios, create and execute test cases, and document results to ensure comprehensive test coverage and product quality.

Key responsibilities include performing functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. You will identify, report, and track bugs using issue tracking systems, verify fixes, and support release validation processes. You will also help ensure that applications function correctly across different devices, browsers, and environments.

The role involves contributing to test planning, improving testing processes, maintaining test documentation, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives. You may also assist in API testing, database validation, and exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues and improve overall product stability.

Additional responsibilities may include collaborating on test automation efforts, analyzing test results, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and providing feedback to improve product usability and performance. The ideal candidate is methodical, analytical, and passionate about delivering high-quality software experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and QA processes.
• Experience creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to identify, document, and track software defects clearly and accurately.
• Knowledge of API testing and basic database validation is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
• Basic understanding of test automation concepts is a plus.
• Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-device testing.
