About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead Full Stack Developer to join a fast-growing UK SaaS technology company based within Hampshire. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge digital products that empower commercial teams to better understand and engage with their customers. As a hands-on technical leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's next-generation customer-facing platforms, from initial design through to production deployment. Working within a modern cloud-based environment, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions on a daily basis, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technical excellence and innovation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in full stack development, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering. You should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, demonstrating expertise in building large-scale SaaS platforms. A solid understanding of system design, scalable architectures, and cloud technologies is essential. Candidates should have experience working in mature CI/CD environments and a strong commitment to clean code principles, including SOLID, design patterns, and testability. A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent real-world experience, is required. Excellent collaboration skills, stakeholder management, and an interest in leveraging AI to enhance development processes are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of projects across a high-performing development team of over 10 members, ensuring timely and efficient progress.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to break down requirements into epics and user stories, facilitating smooth development workflows.
  • Contribute to solution design, system architecture, and domain modeling to ensure scalable and maintainable platforms.
  • Build proof-of-concept prototypes and spike complex or uncertain areas of work to evaluate feasibility and inform decision-making.
  • Develop and deliver production-ready code across the full stack, adhering to best practices for quality, security, and performance.
  • Support and enhance live systems post-deployment, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Influence technical strategy, tooling, and best practices across the engineering team to promote continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in AI, to incorporate innovative solutions into the development process.
