About the Role



The Software Engineer II, Frontend will work on Greenlight's Web Platform and Family Hub team. The role focuses primarily on building modern web applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript. It also involves architecture, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and operational responsibilities.



Responsibilities



  • Design and build high-quality web experiences.
  • Translate mobile features into polished web experiences.
  • Develop scalable frontend architecture.
  • Establish engineering standards and best practices.
  • Manage technical debt and improve code quality.
  • Lead architectural improvements.
  • Participate in deployment and operational phases of the SDLC.
  • Mentor other engineers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience demonstrating technical leadership.
  • Strong web development background.
  • Experience building production applications.
  • Strong knowledge of modern frontend frameworks.
  • Ability to work with testing and CI/CD tools.

    Pay range and compensation package



    For NY, CA, and WA, the estimated base salary is: $122,000–$170,000 USD



    For Colorado: $122,000–$145,000 USD



    The total package may additionally include performance bonuses, equity, healthcare, and a 401(k) match.
