About The Role

We are seeking a talented Full-Stack Engineer specializing in GEOINT to join our dynamic team at Orcrist Technologies GmbH. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing map and spatial analytics features used by mission-critical teams. Your expertise will contribute to building robust services using TypeScript and Python, delivering intuitive 2D and 3D user experiences, and ensuring offline-ready capabilities across connected and disconnected environments. You will collaborate closely with designers, data engineers, and analysts to iterate rapidly based on user feedback, ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of geospatial intelligence technology. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects that directly influence the capabilities of defense, law enforcement, and enterprise clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of experience in developing geospatial or visualization-heavy full-stack applications.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with geospatial libraries and platforms such as Mapbox, MapLibre, and Cesium.
• Strong understanding of geospatial data formats, coordinate projections, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience building APIs that integrate with PostGIS, geoprocessing services, and 3D spatial data formats such as vector and tiles.
• Ability to develop offline-ready workflows, including tiling, caching, and data packaging.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize large datasets for performance.
• Eligible to work in Germany; EU/NATO citizenship and security screening are required.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop and ship React/TypeScript-based map workspace features, including layers, annotations, timelines, and overlays to support mission-critical operations.
• Build and maintain APIs that integrate with geospatial data sources such as PostGIS, geoprocessing services, and vector/3D tiles.
• Optimize application performance for handling large datasets and offline workflows, ensuring seamless user experiences in connected and disconnected environments.
• Instrument telemetry, implement testing strategies, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure the reliability and stability of spatial services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, analysts, and data engineers to iterate quickly based on user feedback and evolving requirements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform’s architecture, security, and scalability.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in geospatial technologies and incorporate best practices into development workflows.
