About Ruby Developer Position

We’re looking for a talented Full-stack Developer (Ruby on Rails + React/TypeScript) to help build and scale innovative travel tech products. You’ll work directly with our UK team, contributing to impactful features used by real customers. Responsibilities

·      Take ownership from requirement clarification through system architecture, technical design, technical solutions, implementation, and delivery.

·      Work directly with UK stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify technical details, and propose effective solutions.

·      Design and implement scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs, considering performance, maintainability, and reliability.

·      Build modern, responsive UI using React, TypeScript, and Rails Frontend technologies.

·      Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, and drive appropriate solutions.

·      Establish and maintain coding standards, testing practices, and development best practices.

·      Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior and mid-level developers through knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

·      5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.

·      Strong understanding of database design and performance optimization; proven ability to design and build scalable, maintainable backend systems with a focus on code quality and reliability.

·      Experience with React and TypeScript.

·      Experience with Rails frontend technologies (ERB, Hotwire, Turbo, or similar).

·      Experience with Docker and deploying applications to cloud environments; familiarity with GCP and Kubernetes is a plus.

·      Experience with code review, technical decision-making, and mentoring is preferred for the Lead level.

·      Good English communication skills, with the ability to work directly with international clients.
