2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Software Engineer - Lending Platform will design, architect, and develop core backend systems that process massive volumes of financial transaction data and asynchronous events. This high-impact role is critical to ensuring the absolute accuracy, auditability, and mathematical reliability of downstream financial operations, accelerating global finance automation, and establishing a resilient technical foundation for future fintech platform investments. The position entails leading high-visibility engineering initiatives that masterfully balance long-term distributed platform development with near-term business expansion priorities.
3. Responsibilities:
• Design, build, scale, and operate highly resilient, distributed, event-driven systems supporting real-time accounting close automation and complex capital risk calculation workflows
• Develop highly scalable data processing pipelines that convert high-volume, high-concurrency financial events into highly accurate, deterministic business outcomes
• Collaborate deeply with cross-functional Product, Data Analytics, Corporate Finance, and core Engineering teams to define technical solutions for intricate financial compliance and capital market processes
• Continuously enhance the reliability, horizontal scalability, and long-term maintainability of critical financial core systems while proactively managing technical debt
• Lead multi-quarter, high-impact engineering projects autonomously from initial architectural design and proof-of-concept through to production deployment
• Strategic adoption and utilization of AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot) to boost engineering velocity and productivity while maintaining strict code quality, enterprise security, and algorithmic correctness
4. Requirements:
• Minimum of four (4) years of progressive, professional software engineering experience building, monitoring, and operating highly available production systems
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field preferred; or equivalent practical professional engineering experience
• Proven production-level experience designing and building distributed, fault-tolerant, event-driven applications within modern cloud environments (specifically Amazon Web Services - AWS)
• Demonstrated capability to develop scalable, highly concurrent backend services processing large volumes of data using modern programming languages (such as Java, Go, Python, or Scala)
• Expert skill level in designing, testing (unit, integration, and load testing), and deploying reliable production systems following modern software engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and clean code principles
Preferred Qualifications:
• Domain knowledge of enterprise financial systems, double-entry accounting processes, capital markets, or capital risk management frameworks
• Prior hands-on experience working with high-throughput data processing engines or distributed event streaming platforms (such as Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or Apache Flink)
• Proven ability to design system architectures that intelligently balance long-term scalability, low-overhead maintainability, and operational infrastructure cost efficiency
• Demonstrated success collaborating across multiple matrixed teams to deliver complex, cross-functional technical initiatives
• Enthusiastic interest in applying generative AI and LLM tools to optimize the software development lifecycle
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Target baseline salary framework: $166,900.00 to $230,900.00 USD annually
• Actual base pay within this tier varies dynamically based upon the candidate's localized geographic market scale, core architectural skills, system design depth, and educational background
