Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Java / React)
Position Details

- Pay Rate: $65 - $70 per hour on W2

What You Will Do
- Build applications using modern design patterns, architectural principles, and current industry coding standards
- Develop high-quality, well-documented, and efficient code
- Collaborate with product owners to define feature stories and with tech leads on technical design
- Write unit tests, integration tests, and functional automation
- Research and resolve issues identified by QA or product support
- Coach team members and bring input on relevant and emerging technologies
- Solve complex problems that require evaluating intangible variables
- Work with Python, Java, JavaScript, React, and Spring Boot
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience
- 6+ years of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade applications with modern Java and JavaScript ecosystems
- Strong UI expertise building modern applications with React and JavaScript
- Financial or Insurance industry experience
- Experience with agentic frameworks and AI-driven development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Technical Skills (Advanced Experience in Several)
- Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript; OOP, design patterns, distributed systems
- Java Services: Spring, Maven, Microservices, multi-threading, concurrency, parallel processing
- Frameworks: React, Spring Boot, Flask, Django, Node.js
- Data Stores: PL/SQL, DB2, Oracle, Postgres, Redshift, NoSQL
- Data Streaming: SQS, Kinesis, AWS MSK, EventBridge
- APIs: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, JDBC, SOA patterns
- API Management: Kong, Apigee
- Security: Secure coding, DevSecOps, JWT, SSL, SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0
- DevOps: GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion, Jenkins
- AWS: Core services across compute, storage, database, IAM, and analytics
- Testing: Unit, interface, end-user, and automated testing
- Accessibility awareness, monitoring, and logging
