About The Role
As a Full-Stack Developer, you will build and improve features across Boot1 GmbH’s product landscape, from the learner-facing platform to internal business applications. You will work primarily with TypeScript, React, and Next.js on the frontend, and Node.js and Prisma on the backend. This is a hands-on role with meaningful ownership: you will help shape technical solutions, deliver reliable software, and work closely with colleagues in marketing and company leadership to keep product initiatives on track. You will join a collaborative environment where decisions can be made quickly and your work can reach customers soon after release.
Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain end-to-end product features using our modern JavaScript and TypeScript stack. Contribute to the online learning platform, including learning modules, exam preparation tools, and learner progress features. Improve our website and booking journey, including course booking, checkout, and landing pages. Build and maintain internal tools that help manage participants, exam schedules, and partner locations.
Design and maintain integrations with external services such as payment providers, CRM systems, and marketing tools. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive workflows and implement practical solutions that improve efficiency. Operate our applications using Docker and contribute to stable, dependable deployments. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and take an active part in code reviews. Collaborate with colleagues to plan initiatives, estimate effort, agree on priorities, and keep projects moving from initial discussion through delivery.
Qualifications
You bring several years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Developer, Web Developer, or in a similar role. You have strong practical skills in TypeScript, React, and Next.js, along with experience building backend applications with Node.js. You are familiar with relational databases and Prisma, and have a solid understanding of Docker and Git-based development workflows.
You work independently, approach problems with a solutions-focused mindset, and are motivated to take responsibility for a product rather than only individual tasks. You communicate effectively in German and have a good command of English. Experience with Scrum or Kanban, project planning, effort estimation, or tools such as Jira and Linear is an advantage. Familiarity with payment integrations, CI/CD processes, and cloud hosting is also welcome. An interest in e-learning or watersports would be a plus.
