THE ROLE

We are seeking a Full Stack Shopify Developer who brings deep hands-on expertise across the full Shopify ecosystem, a track record of driving measurable growth at brand-forward CPG ecommerce companies, and an AI-native engineering mindset.

This role will play a key part in building, optimizing, and scaling Shopify storefronts and applications in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain Shopify storefronts, custom themes, and apps
• Build and manage integrations across Shopify, third-party APIs, and internal systems
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations to deliver high-quality user experiences and ship features quickly
• Build, own, and maintain custom Shopify apps and checkout UI extensions to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Author and maintain Shopify Functions, metaobjects, and subscription integrations in production
• Support the instrumentation, tracking, and ongoing management of on-site data to enable accurate insights
• Own accessibility quality for on-site experiences, including testing, issue resolution, and continuous alignment with best practices and standards
• Optimize site performance, scalability, and conversion rates — connecting technical improvements to business outcomes
• Support experimentation efforts (A/B testing, pricing, shipping, checkout, and UX flows)
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex full-stack technical issues
• Work with structured data, schemas, Shopify metafields, and metaobjects
• Contribute to scalable system design that supports growth and rapid iteration
• Leverage AI agents and tools strategically to multiply engineering output — not just to write code faster, but to architect smarter systems

SKILLS/TRAITS REQUIRED

• 3–5 years of production engineering experience shipping end-to-end systems with strong ownership from idea to deployment
• Demonstrated track record driving growth at a brand-forward CPG ecommerce company in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Has built custom Shopify apps from scratch (not just installed them); authored checkout UI extensions; proficient with both Admin REST and GraphQL APIs in production; hands-on experience with Shopify Functions, and metaobjects
• Exposure to A/B testing, experimentation, and growth-driven environments (pricing, shipping, UX, conversion optimization)
• Previous experience with various technologies / frameworks including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and GraphQL
• AI-native mindset: Thinks architecturally about AI and uses AI agents as force multipliers to scale engineering output, not just as autocomplete tools.
• Demonstrates a highly adaptable, self-driven approach to adopting and integrating emerging AI tools and workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
• Clear communicator with the ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs, and problem-solving approaches
• A builder mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments
