An innovative organisation in the technical consultancy space is looking for a Node.js Engineer. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team to develop and deliver complex technical projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs using Node.js, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Work with RESTful APIs and third-party services to integrate and enhance system functionality.
• Develop and maintain database architectures including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL for robust data storage.
• Write clean, modular, and reusable code while adhering to industry best practices and design patterns.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous delivery.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs and authentication mechanisms like OAuth or JWT.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
