Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Java Specialist. The Java Specialist will design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that support the company’s internal tools and client-facing solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and refining microservices using Jakarta EE, applying design patterns to build robust and scalable architectures, and writing clean, well-documented code. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, collaborating with marketing and operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and participating in code reviews. The Java Specialist will work independently with flexible hours while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software components.
Qualifications

• Strong Java-based Software Development and Programming skills, with experience building production-ready applications.
• Hands-on experience with Jakarta EE and related enterprise Java frameworks for building secure, scalable services.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture, including service design, integration, and deployment best practices.
• Applied understanding of Design Patterns to create maintainable, testable, and extensible software solutions.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage part-time workloads, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
