Our client, an incubated AI startup backed by an extremely large financial entity, is seeking a Founding Engineer to bring modern AI efficiency to the insurance brokerage space. This individual will serve as a core technical pillar, shaping the architectural vision and scaling state-of-the-art technology to empower brokers. The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack foundations, a product-driven mindset, and the execution required to take early-stage B2B products from ground-zero to production.

Role

• Interface directly with product leadership to translate product requirements into core systems and architectural decisions.
• Evaluate, implement, and deploy large language models and generative AI workflows into production environments.
• Manage the technical roadmap, establishing low-level specifications for the initial MVP and driving continuous production iterations.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack engineering roles, with deep exposure to building B2B software products from the ground up.
• Strong programming proficiency in TypeScript and Python.
• Practical experience or high interest working with generative ML operations, including RAG, prompt engineering, prompt caching, or fine-tuning.

Beneficial Skills

• Prior experience navigating early-stage startups or incubated environments.
• Engineering management experience or an interest in helping support a growing technical team.
• Familiarity with Fintech, Insurtech, Healthtech or adjacent domains.

This role can pay $250K+ on the Base + Meaningful Equity
