Role Description

This part-time remote role combines responsibilities of a Software Engineer and AI & Full-Stack Developer, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of COMET INFO’s core platform. Day-to-day tasks include building and optimizing back-end services and APIs, implementing frontend features for web applications (Lovable and Supabase), and integrating AI/ML models to enhance lead capture, file sharing, and performance analytics.

The role involves writing clean, maintainable code, performing code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with product and design teams to deliver scalable solutions. The engineer will also participate in architectural discussions, improve system performance and security, and help refine development processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• AI Automation (n8n): Knowledge of AI/ML integration, data processing, or analytics pipelines. Hands-on experience (or strong willingness to master) creating, training, and deploying advanced AI Agents using n8n.
• Backend & Databases (Supabase): Practical experience in backend development to take full control and unblock our project in Supabase (handling database configuration, schema design, and Edge Functions).
• Frontend & App Development (Lovable.dev): Experience with full-stack development using modern frameworks. You will be updating, maintaining, and scaling our platform using Lovable.dev (LovableApp) to build the official web/mobile app of the project.
• Slack Integration: Ability to build a unified AI Hub by intertwining and connecting all AI Agents directly into Slack for real-time team interaction.
• Process & Workflow Design: Strong analytical skills to collaborate with our Operations Lead to document, design, and implement the precise workflows that our AI agents need to operate like a Swiss watch.

Qualifications & Technical Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in progress in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience (Open to students in their final semesters / recent graduates).
• Software Development: Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, Software Development practices, and proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to build reliable, maintainable code.
• Full-Stack & Cloud: Experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and performance optimization. Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD tools for deploying and monitoring applications.
• Remote & Communication: Ability to work independently in a 100% remote environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
