About the role

Remedora gives brands and founders the pieces they need to launch a telehealth offering under their own name: licensed prescriber networks, pharmacy fulfillment, e-prescribing infrastructure, and integrated payments. We're a small team, so this role covers a lot of ground. You'd own features from the migration all the way through to the shipped build.

What you'd do

• Build and maintain our multi-tenant Laravel platform, where one config-driven codebase powers dozens of separately branded client deployments
• Build and maintain integrations with e-prescribing platforms, pharmacy systems, and EHR data exchange
• Own the queue and webhook layer that keeps prescription, fulfillment, and payment state in sync across partners, all of whom fail in their own creative ways
• Work on payments infrastructure, including tenant-scoped billing and tokenized payment flows
• Handle PHI carefully: encryption, access control, audit logging, and least-privilege data access built in from the start

Requirements

• Around 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Production Laravel experience and comfort with modern PHP, 8.1 or later
• Strong Eloquent and SQL. You can reason through multi-tenant schema design, tenant isolation, query performance, and how to run a migration against live data without taking anything down
• Experience with Laravel queues and background jobs. A lot of our work is calls to outside systems that fail, retry, and have to reconcile
• API design on both sides, consuming and exposing
• React for our web interfaces
• React Native and Expo for mobile, or a track record that suggests you'd pick it up fast
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, especially the badly documented ones
• You write tests as a matter of course. Pest or PHPUnit, either is fine
• Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment
• Good written communication. We're remote and mostly async

Helpful, but not required

• Background in healthcare, telehealth, pharmacy, or another regulated industry
• Familiarity with HIPAA technical safeguards, or experience on a system that handled PHI
• Exposure to e-prescribing or EHR standards like FHIR, HL7, or NCPDP SCRIPT
• Stripe experience, particularly Stripe Connect or other platform payment models
• Payment tokenization or vaulting work with something like Basis Theory or VGS
• Laravel multi-tenancy at the framework level, whether that's stancl/tenancy, spatie/laravel-multitenancy, or something you rolled yourself
• Expo EAS builds and App Store or Play Store release management
• Time at an early-stage startup, or as one of the first engineers on a product
