About The Role

GrabJobs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and intuitive user interfaces that enhance our platform's functionality. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Operations to translate business needs into technical solutions. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to deliver seamless recruitment experiences, improve system performance, and support our growing user base. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and influence the technical trajectory of GrabJobs' innovative platform.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. You should have at least 7 years of professional experience in software development, demonstrating a proven track record of leading technical projects and cross-team initiatives. Deep expertise in Python, Django, and REST API development is essential, along with strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, and React Query. Experience with database schema design, query optimization, and migrations is required. Familiarity with AI tools, particularly Claude and Claude Code, to enhance development workflows is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes are crucial for success in this role. Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare technology, HIPAA compliance, React Native, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at GrabJobs, your responsibilities will include leading the technical discovery, scoping, and execution of complex features in collaboration with Product, Design, QA, and business stakeholders. You will own features end-to-end, breaking down large initiatives into actionable milestones and guiding the engineering team toward successful delivery. Acting as a proactive communicator, you will translate technical challenges into clear, understandable business outcomes for non-technical partners. Maintaining high engineering standards through code reviews, architectural discussions, and mentorship of mid-level and junior engineers is vital. You will work autonomously on the frontend, rapidly iterating on user interfaces based on loose product requirements, utilizing React, TypeScript, and component libraries like Tailwind or MUI. Additionally, you will support and contribute to our React Native mobile applications, ensuring seamless cross-platform experiences. Designing, building, and optimizing robust REST APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF), developing clean database schemas, and managing complex migrations will be core parts of your role. Leveraging AI tools such as Claude to accelerate development and automate features will further enhance your contributions. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and scaling production services deployed via Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), using tools like Datadog and logging best practices, will be part of your ongoing responsibilities. You will also take on additional tasks as assigned to support the company's strategic goals.
