Role Description The MERN Developer will work full time in a remote capacity, building and maintaining web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing application architectures, implementing RESTful APIs, developing responsive front-end interfaces, and integrating front-end and back-end components. The role involves writing clean, testable code, performing code reviews, debugging issues, and optimizing performance and scalability. The developer will collaborate with product and design teams, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to documentation and best practices for the development workflow. The position also requires staying current with modern JavaScript frameworks, tools, and security standards to ensure reliable, maintainable solutions.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
• Experience with front-end development, including responsive UI design, HTML5, CSS3, and modern React patterns (hooks, state management).
• Skills in back-end development, including RESTful API design, database modeling, and server-side logic with Node.js and Express.js.
• Knowledge of version control and collaboration tools such as Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with testing and debugging practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of web security principles, authentication and authorization, and best practices for secure application development.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in full-stack development is preferred.
