About The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer II specializing in Front End and Back End development to join our remote team. In this role, you will serve as an individual contributor, working closely with cross-functional teams to support the full software development lifecycle. Your primary focus will be on developing, debugging, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet project scope, schedule, and delivery requirements. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical needs, participate in planning and design sessions, and contribute to building scalable, secure, and efficient applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow technical skills, gain exposure to cloud environments, and impact public-sector digital services on a national scale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in Golang and Angular frameworks
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally AWS
  • Strong SQL database skills
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, and well-commented code
  • Effective communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

  • Estimate, develop, and complete software development tasks, including coding, requirements analysis, and implementation with guidance from leadership
  • Debug, optimize, maintain, and monitor applications in test and production environments
  • Develop and enhance testing frameworks, monitoring, analytics, and deployment pipelines as required
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support system stability and incident response
  • Engage in planning sessions to understand system architecture, design patterns, and technical trade-offs
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and technical solutions
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing to support onboarding and team growth
  • Support the development of influential skills to facilitate tactical decision-making and foster team collaboration
  • Understand and respect the interdependencies of roles within the development lifecycle
