About The Role
In the Genospace team within Ontada, our mission is to be the leading information platform for applied precision medicine. Our interdisciplinary team merges genomics, healthcare,
data analytics,
web development, and
cloud computing to serve research, clinical development, pathology, and clinical care customers working with high-dimensional genomic and biomedical
data. Many advanced organizations in precision medicine rely on Genospace for their critical
data needs.
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer who is eager to solve novel problems and contribute to building and delivering our Genospace software platform. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in developing innovative solutions that enhance patient care and advance clinical research through cutting-edge technology.
Your work will directly impact healthcare providers, researchers, and patients by enabling personalized medicine, facilitating high-throughput
data analysis, and supporting clinical decision-making. You will collaborate with a diverse team of product owners,
data scientists, and designers to develop scalable, reliable, and efficient software solutions that meet the complex needs of the healthcare industry.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in software development
- Experience building web applications or data processing systems
- Familiarity with web technologies and proficiency in at least one common programming language
- Experience with front-end technologies, back-end technologies, and database systems
- Strong ability to design software that meets functional and technical requirements
- Effective communication skills to articulate design and technical concepts
- Creative and critical thinking skills for problem-solving in complex environments
- Educational background in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy features for web-based, cloud-hosted applications
- Collaborate with team members through code reviews and design discussions to ensure high-quality software
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and practices
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Engage with product owners, data scientists, and designers to develop solutions that meet user needs
- Maintain documentation of software architecture and codebase
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate best practices into development workflows
