About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Downtown Development Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and
implementation of various projects aimed at revitalizing and enhancing downtown Boulder. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable environment that benefits local businesses, residents, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for
community development, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the growth and vitality of Boulder’s downtown district.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration,
community development, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in
community development,
project management, or a similar role is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders. Familiarity with urban revitalization strategies, economic development practices, and local government processes is preferred. Proficiency in
project management tools and software, along with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, is highly desirable. A passion for sustainable urban development and
community engagement will set candidates apart.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support initiatives aimed at revitalizing downtown Boulder, including beautification projects, public space enhancements, and economic development programs.
- Engage with local businesses, residents, city officials, and other stakeholders to gather input, build partnerships, and foster a collaborative approach to downtown development.
- Assist in the planning and execution of community events, marketing campaigns, and outreach activities that promote downtown Boulder as a vibrant destination.
- Conduct research and analyze data to inform strategic planning and decision-making processes related to urban development.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals to communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders and funding entities.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in urban planning, economic development, and community engagement to continuously improve project strategies.
