Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

Position Overview: : We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our team and play a role in automating document entry, bookkeeping, and accounting processes. As a Full-Stack Developer at SimpleAI, you will be responsible for building and maintaining web applications from end to end. You should be comfortable working independently on features, collaborating with the engineering team, understanding requirements, designing practical solutions, and delivering reliable production-ready code. The role requires strong problem-solving ability, clean coding practices, and confidence working across both frontend and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Develop and maintain full-stack web applications.

·       Build responsive frontend interfaces using React.js.

·       Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and/or Python.

·       Design and integrate REST APIs.

·       Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.

·       Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and error handling.

·       Integrate third-party services and external APIs.

·       Contribute to AI-powered features and AI API integrations.

·       Troubleshoot application, API, database, and performance issues.

·       Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.

·       Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

·       Work with Git and modern development workflows.

·       Support deployment, testing, monitoring, and production maintenance.

·       Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to turn requirements into working solutions.

·       Improve existing systems for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

Requirements:

·       Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript.

·       Good hands-on experience with React.js.

·       Backend development experience using Node.js and/or Python.

·       Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.

·       Good understanding of PostgreSQL / SQL.

·       Understanding of database design, queries, indexes, and transactions.

·       Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts.

·       Experience using Git.

·       Good understanding of frontend and backend architecture.

·       Ability to debug and troubleshoot technical issues independently.

·       Understanding of asynchronous programming and API communication.

·       Ability to write structured, readable, and maintainable code.
