About The Role

The Application Developer will contribute to small and large, complex projects, working closely with data science, client, and project team members to understand the business requirements behind application analysis, design, and development. You will build and enhance web and user interface applications using Angular, Python, and the Django web framework, while supporting multiple applications across the full systems life cycle.

This position requires a strong foundation in application design and systems development, along with practical experience in database development, testing, and integration. The developer will help ensure that application software is delivered on schedule and aligns with technical requirements and business expectations. The role calls for an adaptable professional who can work independently when appropriate and contribute effectively within a team.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least six years of professional experience with Angular and at least six years of experience using Python and the Django web framework. Intermediate SQL capabilities are required, along with hands-on experience with containerization. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. The position also requires five years of experience applying advanced programming techniques and application design, as well as experience in systems design and a solid understanding of development, database development, testing, and integration methodologies.

Successful candidates bring strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; clear communication; and the ability to collaborate with technical and business partners. You should be comfortable managing assigned work independently, contributing in a team environment, and adapting to project priorities.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with data science professionals, client stakeholders, and team members to clarify business needs, assess requirements, and identify effective application solutions. Analyze, design, develop, test, and integrate web and user interface applications using Angular, Python, and Django. Contribute to application architecture and systems design, and apply sound programming practices to produce maintainable, dependable software.

Support multiple applications throughout the full systems life cycle, including development, enhancement, testing, integration, deployment support, and ongoing maintenance. Work with databases and SQL to support application functionality and data needs. Use containerization tools and practices as part of development workflows. Identify issues, investigate root causes, and implement solutions that support application quality and reliability. Coordinate work with project partners, communicate progress and technical considerations, and help deliver software on time and in accordance with established requirements.
