Role Description<

This is a full-time remote role for a Backend Software Engineer (Claude) at GeoSnake | AI Optimization. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining backend services and APIs that power GeoSnake’s AI visibility and analytics platform, with a focus on integrating and orchestrating workflows around Claude and other LLMs. The Backend Software Engineer will implement data ingestion pipelines, develop scalable microservices, optimize query performance, and ensure system reliability, security, and observability. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with product and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, integrating external APIs, managing databases, and improving existing backend architecture. The role also includes writing clean, testable code, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation and continuous improvement of engineering practices.


Qualifications

  • Strong backend engineering skills, with experience in server-side languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, or similar), RESTful or GraphQL API design, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience working with LLMs and AI platforms (preferably Claude), including prompt orchestration, tooling integration, and handling AI-generated data at scale.
  • Solid database skills, including relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, query optimization, and familiarity with distributed data processing pipelines.
  • Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, such as containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of web technologies and data formats relevant to AI visibility (e.g., JSON APIs, web scraping, SEO / GEO concepts, and analytics instrumentation).
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system design abilities, with attention to performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Effective remote collaboration skills, including clear written communication, documentation discipline, and ability to work independently in a distributed team.
