SmartPropFirm is looking for a Software Engineer to join our product and engineering team. We build enterprise-grade software and products for prop traders, including trading tools, rewards systems, marketplace features, dashboards, and platform infrastructure used by a growing community of traders.

We are looking for someone with strong programming fundamentals who can build reliable software, learn quickly, and contribute effectively within a fast-moving product environment. You should be comfortable working with existing codebases, taking ownership of assigned projects, and using modern AI development tools to improve research, debugging, implementation speed, and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve features across the SmartPropFirm web platform.
• Work on products for prop traders, including tools, dashboards, rewards, marketplace systems, and platform infrastructure.
• Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-structured code.
• Fix bugs, improve performance, and polish user-facing features.
• Work across frontend and backend systems based on project requirements.
• Integrate and maintain APIs, databases, authentication flows, and third-party services.
• Use AI development tools effectively for research, debugging, implementation, testing, and code improvement.
• Test your work thoroughly before submitting it for review.
• Participate in code reviews and communicate technical decisions clearly.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver reliable solutions.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of programming concepts and software engineering fundamentals.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably React.
• Understanding of backend development, including APIs, databases, and authentication flows.
• Ability to read, understand, and contribute to an existing codebase.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using Git, branches, merge requests, and code review workflows.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.
• Experience using AI development tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js, Node.js, WordPress, REST APIs, or SaaS platforms.
• Experience building dashboards, marketplaces, fintech tools, rewards systems, or trading-related products.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive web design.
• Familiarity with debugging and resolving production issues.
• Experience integrating third-party platforms and services.
• Interest in trading, fintech, or prop trading technology.
