Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a WordPress Developer. The WordPress Developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes, child themes, and plugins that support Ideal Job USA’s platform and marketing sites. Daily responsibilities include implementing front-end designs, ensuring responsive layouts across devices, optimizing site performance, and handling back-end configuration such as custom post types, APIs, and integrations. The role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, collaborating with designers and content teams, and following best practices for security, accessibility, and SEO. The developer will participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of the website experience.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design.
• Candidates should possess skills in Web Design and user-centered interface implementation.
• Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development and WordPress customization.
• Candidates should possess skills in general Web Development, including site performance and security best practices.
• Proficiency with WordPress core, themes, and plugins, including custom theme development.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and common WordPress page builders or frameworks.
• Familiarity with PHP, MySQL, and REST APIs for integrating third-party tools and services.
• Understanding of SEO basics, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Previous experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role; portfolio or examples of work are highly beneficial.
• Relevant education or training in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is a plus.
