The Role

• Design and deliver modern, scalable web applications
• Develop and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS, adhering to best practices
• Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring performance and security
• Write and maintain automated end-to-end test suites
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering standards
• Carry out thorough code reviews, championing quality across the team
• Work within CI/CD pipelines, contributing to automated build, test, and deployment processes
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across development, test, and live environments
  
  

What You'll Need

• Experience with national public service digital programmes is essential
• Strong, demonstrable senior-level full stack development experience on complex programmes
• Proficient in Next.js and TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development
• Solid AWS experience across core services including Lambda, S3, EC2, and RDS
• Proven REST API design and development experience
• Experience writing automated tests using Playwright
• Comfortable working in an Agile delivery environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical teams
