The company was acquired by Meta in 2020, completing the transaction in 2022, and subsequently integrated into Meta’s Business Messaging Group to revolutionize communication between people and businesses through modern messaging channels. In 2023, Kustomer spun out from Meta as an independent entity, backed by original investors including Battery Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Boldstart Ventures, with an additional $60 million investment. The company continued to grow with a $30 million Series B funding round in 2025 led by Norwest Venture Partners, emphasizing its commitment to expanding its AI-native platform, accelerating product innovation, and scaling its talented team. Kustomer’s culture is built on passion, collaboration, and a shared mission to improve the customer service experience, with a flexible, remote-friendly work environment across the U.S. and U.K.
