About The Role

Join Pülse NWA as a Full Stack Software Engineer and help us build the digital platform that keeps Northwest Arkansas connected. You'll own features from conception to production, working across our React frontend and Node.js/Deno backend infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain features across React frontend and backend systems
  • Design and implement scalable API endpoints and database schemas
  • Optimize application performance and user experience across all platforms
  • Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into implementation
  • Debug complex issues across the full stack and implement robust solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
  • Deploy and monitor application changes in production environments

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional full stack development experience
  • Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks
  • Experience building and maintaining backend APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of databases, SQL, and data modeling
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
  • Ability to write clean, testable code and work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

Experience With

  • Node.js, Deno, or TypeScript backend development
  • Real-time features (WebSockets, polling, streaming)
  • Payment processing (Stripe, PayPal) integrations
  • Map integrations (Mapbox, Google Maps)
  • Mobile app development or React Native
