Role Overview
As a Unity
Engineer, you'll be responsible for integrating 3D and 2D assets into Unity, optimizing scenes, building interactive prototypes, and supporting real-time
testing for outsourced art deliveries. This role is key to ensuring our assets meet
technical standards and look great in-engine.
Responsibilities
- Set up and integrate 3D and 2D assets into Unity projects for testing and final implementation.
- Build and maintain scenes, prefabs, lighting setups, and basic gameplay logic when needed.
- Collaborate with artists and clients to ensure visual fidelity and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot rendering, shader, or material issues in real-time environments.
- Help develop internal tools or scripts to streamline asset pipelines and QA.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with Unity Engine in a production environment, preferably games.
- Strong understanding of Unity’s rendering pipeline, asset import settings, and optimization.
- Ability to work with materials, lighting setups, animation controllers, and FX integration.
- Comfortable writing basic C# scripts for interaction, camera, or scene logic.
- Understanding of mobile and PC platform performance requirements.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience working with outsourced art teams or managing technical validation of external assets.
- Familiarity with Git or Perforce version control.
- Understanding of shader graphs or custom shaders.
- Experience in other engines (Unreal, Godot) is a plus.
- Experience working with game studios or outsourcing clients internationally.
