About The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer iDB (m/w/d) to strengthen our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing automation software components tailored for offshore production systems. Your work will involve creating reliable, efficient solutions that meet the demanding requirements of the offshore environment. You will play a key part in validating your solutions through simulations, testing, and error analysis within our agile development processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that have a significant impact on the energy sector and offshore operations worldwide.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a successful academic background in computer science or a comparable field. Proven experience in application development with C++ is essential, along with familiarity with integrating software with relational databases using SQL. Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, and Linux operating systems is required. Experience with QT framework is advantageous. We value team players who demonstrate flexibility, structured thinking, and resilience under stress. Strong communication skills and proficiency in English, both spoken and written, are necessary to thrive in our international environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test automation software components for offshore production systems, ensuring high reliability and performance.
  • Conduct simulations, testing, and error analysis to validate solutions, collaborating within an agile team environment.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of software processes and development standards.
  • Work closely with hardware and systems teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions.
  • Document technical specifications and testing procedures to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and debugging activities during project development and deployment phases.
