Children House Montessori is seeking a Remote Full Stack Developer responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable web applications across both front-end and back-end environments.


The ideal candidate will have strong experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, React, Vue, or Angular, combined with back-end development using technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Ruby on Rails.


This role requires technical autonomy, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to own features end-to-end while collaborating effectively with Product, Design, Data Science, and QA teams.

3. Key Responsibilities

Architect, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications with a focus on reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks.

Implement server-side business logic, APIs, integrations, and supporting services using Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Ruby on Rails.

Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases.

Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and QA teams to deliver high-impact product features.

Optimize application performance across front-end and back-end systems by identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.

Participate in code reviews and maintain clear technical documentation.

Follow software engineering best practices for code quality, security, testing, and maintainability.

Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to engineering process improvements.

Own features through the complete development lifecycle, from planning and implementation through deployment and maintenance.

Work independently in a distributed, remote-first environment while managing priorities and meeting delivery expectations.

4. Required Qualifications

Must reside in the United States or Canada.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

1–5+ years of professional full-stack development experience.

Strong proficiency with front-end technologies including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue, or Angular.

Solid experience with one or more back-end technologies including Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Ruby on Rails.

Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Experience or familiarity with Docker and containerization.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively within a remote-first team.
