Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA Engineer / Software Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing and quality assurance activities. This role is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and maintaining test processes that support the delivery of high-quality software products and an excellent user experience.

The role will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, develop effective test strategies, and validate that software solutions meet functional and non-functional expectations. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, creating test plans, designing test cases, executing manual and automated tests, documenting test results, and tracking defects through resolution.

Key responsibilities include performing functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, performance, and compatibility testing as appropriate. The QA Engineer / Software Tester will identify defects, conduct root cause analysis, verify issue resolutions, and work with development teams to improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle. The role will also support release validation, monitor product quality metrics, maintain testing documentation, and contribute to continuous improvements in quality assurance processes.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with test automation initiatives, maintaining automated test scripts where applicable, supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows, and recommending improvements to testing methodologies, tools, and quality standards. The role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical abilities, and a commitment to delivering reliable and user-focused software solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, Agile, or related fields is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance principles, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with manual testing, automated testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Understanding of defect management, test planning, test case design, and quality metrics.
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar languages is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks, API testing, databases, SQL, version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing activities and meet project deadlines.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional development teams.
