The Context Company helps teams monitor and improve AI agents in production.

We give teams visibility into what is breaking, why users are struggling, and what they should fix next across every agent run. Our product surfaces recurring patterns, user frustration, tool failures, hallucinations, missed goals, repeated requests, and other signals that are hard to find by reading logs manually.

Teams use The Context Company to understand user behavior in their agents, catch silent failures before they become bigger problems, search across production traces, get alerts and recaps, and ship better agents faster.

We are looking for a full-stack software engineer to help build product experiences and backend systems across The Context Company. We’re SF-based but open to exceptional remote engineers.

This role is a good fit for someone who learns quickly, ships quickly, and enjoys working across frontend, backend, APIs, data models, dashboards, and integrations.

We are especially excited about people who understand agents deeply. You should be curious about how AI agents behave in production, how they fail, how teams debug them, and how AI changes the way software is built.

What you may work on:

- Customer-facing product experiences for agent monitoring, analytics, and debugging

- Backend APIs, data models, ingestion paths, and background jobs

- Dashboards, trace views, pattern detection surfaces, search, alerts, and reporting

- Integrations with agent frameworks, Slack, MCP, and customer workflows

- Product reliability, performance, and usability improvements

- Features that help teams understand and improve their production agents

We are looking for someone who:

- Is a strong full-stack engineer

- Has built and shipped real products

- Is comfortable across frontend and backend

- Has strong product sense and cares about UX

- Learns quickly and gets productive in unfamiliar systems fast

- Communicates clearly and asks good questions

- Can move fast while keeping code reliable and maintainable

- Has experience with TypeScript or similar modern languages

- Understands APIs, databases, queues, background jobs, and production systems

- Is excited about AI agents, developer tools, observability, analytics, or production data

Nice to have:

- Experience with LLMs, AI agents, tracing, observability, analytics, or developer tools

- Experience building dashboards, data-heavy products, or customer-facing engineering tools

- Experience with ClickHouse, Postgres, Next.js, TypeScript, or data-heavy production systems

- Experience with agent frameworks like Vercel AI SDK, Claude Agent SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, Mastra, CrewAI, or Agno

- Experience with Slack, MCP, or workflow integrations

- Experience at early-stage startups, devtools companies, infrastructure companies, or fast-moving SaaS teams
