Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve the web applications and backend infrastructure powering مدير أعمالي PA.

The successful candidate will work across the full technology stack, building scalable backend services, responsive web interfaces, integrations, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure. The role requires someone who is comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with product, design, and operations teams.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Doha, Qatar. The candidate must be currently based in Qatar and able to work remotely when required, while attending the office for key meetings, collaboration, and other in-person activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications.
• Build reliable backend services, APIs, and integrations.
• Develop responsive and high-quality frontend interfaces.
• Work with Go (Golang) for backend development and services.
• Use Redis for caching, queues, real-time functionality, and high-performance data operations.
• Work with Docker for containerization and application deployment.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications and services across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS.
• Develop and maintain applications using Next.js, with a solid practical understanding of the framework.
• Work with databases and data-intensive backend systems.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Apply secure coding, authentication, authorization, and API security best practices.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve reliability and scalability.
• Participate in architecture and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, documentation, deployment processes, and continuous improvement.
  

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

The ideal candidate must have:

• 6+ years of professional software engineering / full-stack development experience.
• Strong experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications.
• Strong Go (Golang) development experience and the ability to build backend services and APIs using Go.
• Hands-on Redis experience, including practical use for caching, queues, sessions, or other high-performance workloads.
• Strong Docker experience, including containerizing applications and working with Docker-based development and deployments.
• Practical experience deploying and operating applications in GCP and AWS.
• Good working knowledge of Next.js and modern React-based web development.
• Strong backend development and API design skills.
• Strong frontend development skills, including React, Next.js, CSS, responsive UI, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, system architecture, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks and projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  

Cloud & Infrastructure Experience

Candidates should have practical experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably including:

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Deployment and management of applications, services, containers, networking, monitoring, and cloud resources.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Experience deploying and maintaining production applications and cloud-based services.

Docker

Containerized development and production deployments, including managing application environments and services.

Redis

Caching, queues, sessions, high-performance operations, and scalable backend architectures.

Frontend

Strong experience with modern frontend technologies is required, including:

• React
• Next.js
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• CSS
• Responsive design
• API integration
• Modern frontend architecture

The candidate does not need to be a Next.js specialist, but must have a solid practical understanding of Next.js and be comfortable developing and maintaining Next.js applications.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Equivalent professional experience and strong technical expertise will also be considered.

Location & Working Arrangement

• Must currently be based in Qatar.
• Must be legally able to work in Qatar.
• Full-time hybrid position.
• Remote work is available as part of the hybrid arrangement.
• The candidate must be able to attend the Doha office when required for collaboration, meetings, or other business activities.
• Interviews and meetings may be conducted online or in the office.
  

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a senior, hands-on engineer who can take ownership of systems from development through deployment and maintenance.

The ideal candidate is particularly comfortable with:

Go + Redis + Docker + GCP + AWS + Next.js

and has the experience necessary to build reliable, scalable, secure, production-ready systems rather than simply working on small or academic projects.

Experience Level

Minimum: 6 years of professional experience.

Candidates with strong experience in scalable backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and full-stack application development are strongly preferred.
