We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-quality software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong frontend and backend development expertise, sound technical judgment, and the ability to take ownership of projects while working directly with an Australian client.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications across frontend, backend, APIs, and database integrations.
• Translate product requirements into practical, reliable, maintainable, and secure technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs, third-party services, external APIs, and relevant data systems.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize application performance, and maintain existing applications.
• Write clean, well-structured code and implement appropriate testing practices and software development best practices.
• Collaborate directly with the client to understand requirements, discuss technical decisions, and communicate project progress.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and work across multiple products or projects as business priorities evolve.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Full-Stack Developer or in a comparable software engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience developing both frontend and backend components of production applications.
• Proficiency in at least one modern frontend technology and one backend technology.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs or comparable application interfaces.
• Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, including data modelling and query performance optimization.
• Practical experience with Git, debugging, testing, and software development best practices.
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications in a production environment.
• Ability to take ownership of technical tasks, make sound engineering decisions, and resolve problems independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate directly with an Australian client.
• A portfolio, project examples, or other demonstrable evidence of software delivered to real users.

Preferred Experience

• Experience developing consumer-facing web or mobile applications.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and production support.
• Experience integrating AI, machine learning, intelligent data systems, or algorithm-driven functionality.
• Experience working in a product-led startup or managing development across multiple applications.
• Ability to contribute to architecture decisions and recommend improvements to existing systems.
