Established in 1869 and proudly in its sixth generation of family ownership, Pioneer Music Company is a value-added distributor serving the custom integration and low-voltage channels across an eight-branch footprint, with a second operating entity, Electronic Supply (ESKC).

The role

This is a small-team, high-ownership role.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years professional C#/.NET; strong ASP.NET Core and Web API/OData; Blazor for UI
• SQL Server depth: schema design, query tuning, and a working sense of what Azure SQL Managed Instance can and can't do
• You've built against an ERP (Sage, Acumatica, Dynamics, NetSuite, Epicor, or a homegrown one) and understand that a write in one place ripples through inventory, AR, and the numbers we file taxes on
• Comfortable inheriting undocumented code: you can read it, document it, and stabilize it before you change it
• Azure: App Service, Azure Functions, SQL Managed Instance, Service Bus
• You've stood up CI/CD from nothing
• You communicate in writing and treat docs as part of the work

Nice to have

• Sage 100 ERP, especially writes into Sage BusinessObjects via the ProvideX COM interface
• Acumatica customization or Dynamics BC exposure
• EDI, payment processors, or tax engines (Avalara)
• Distribution or wholesale domain: serialized inventory, rebates, multi-branch
• MCP / LLM tool-calling integrations
• Power BI
• Public code we can read (GitHub, open-source contributions); include a link if you have one

Our stack

C#/.NET 10, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, OData, SQL Server / Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Sage 100 ERP, HubSpot, Power BI, Visual Studio. CI/CD on Azure DevOps or GitHub. Our AI layer runs React, TypeScript, Mastra, and Convex, you'll primarily write to integrate with it not directly own it.

Logistics

• Fully remote within the US
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 Central, with the flexibility a senior engineer would expect
• Start date: as soon as possible
• Reports to Director of IT
