About The Role

KwadRise engineers build platforms that power commerce, fintech, health, and public-sector products across Africa. Whether you focus on front-end craft or backend scalability, you will ship solutions that combine strong engineering practices with a deep understanding of customer problems.

Your day-to-day

• Design and implement features across web/mobile front-ends, APIs, or infrastructure depending on your focus area.
• Review architecture proposals, unblock teammates, and champion engineering excellence.
• Improve observability, reliability, and security baselines for client and internal products.
• Collaborate with designers and PMs to turn business requirements into shipping roadmaps.
• Write tests, own deployments, and measure impact with analytics and user feedback.
• Contribute to our internal libraries, templates, and dev tooling to accelerate delivery.
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (front-end, backend, or full-stack).
• Proficiency with TypeScript plus either React/Next.js or Node.js/NestJS (bonus: Go, Python).
• Experience designing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of version control, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (Vercel, AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Ability to break down ambiguous requirements and communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Passion for mentoring others and contributing to inclusive team rituals.
  
  

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile (React Native), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), or data pipelines.
• Background in fintech, healthtech, logistics, or public-sector products.
• Exposure to security, compliance, or performance optimization projects.
