Python + Vue with Product Ownership | Hybrid | Team: IT | Full-time

We’re expanding our development team at heta. If you enjoy building features that span the whole stack, discussing ideas openly, and owning what you ship to production, this role might be for you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

heta is building an AI-supported fiber network design, planning, and management platform that helps operators plan, optimize, and maintain the networks of the future. As a Full-Stack Developer, you’ll build features end to end — from database and API in our FastAPI backend through to the interfaces our users rely on every day in our Vue 3 frontend.

You’ll take full ownership of what you build: designing data models and APIs, crafting clean and responsive interfaces, and making sure it runs reliably once it’s live. Within our compact, fast-moving engineering team, you’ll work closely with backend, frontend, and AI specialists, and actively shape how we build and operate the platform.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

ACROSS THE STACK

  • Design, develop, and maintain features across our FastAPI (Python) backend and Vue 3 (TypeScript) frontend.
  • Model data and build asynchronous database access (PostgreSQL), including our multi-tenant, role-based access control.
  • Build responsive, accessible interfaces wired to typed API clients, and collaborate on clean API design.
  • Work with maps, data tables, and workflow-visualisation components that present complex geospatial network data clearly.

QUALITY AND OWNERSHIP

  • Write testable, maintainable, well-structured code, with tests written first — unit, integration, and end-to-end.
  • Take ownership of features all the way to production: “you build it, you run it.”
  • Participate in code reviews, design conversations, and technical planning.
  • Use Git fluently and keep code passing our quality gates (linting, formatting, testing, security checks).

ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

  • Evaluate output systematically: design metrics, test on real datasets, and reduce error rates.
  • Write clean, well-tested Python; participate in code reviews and design conversations; use Git fluently.

WHO YOU ARE

YOUR SKILLS

  • Solid experience with Python (FastAPI preferred) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript with a component framework (Vue preferred; React fine if you’re willing to switch).
  • Good grasp of relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL), and of ORM best practices (SQLModel / SQLAlchemy / Pydantic).
  • Understanding of REST API design, authentication (JWT), state management, and component architecture.
  • Comfortable building responsive, accessible interfaces.
  • You write tests as a matter of habit and use Git fluently.

YOUR MINDSET

  • You enjoy turning complex workflows into simple, intuitive solutions — on both sides of the stack.
  • You value ownership and take responsibility for software in production.
  • You’re curious, open to feedback, and interested in how AI can enhance the product.
  • You thrive in a collaborative, high-trust, pragmatic engineering culture where ideas are openly discussed.

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Async Python (asyncio, async database sessions), Alembic migrations.
  • Vue 3 Composition API, Pinia, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Zod / vee-validate.
  • FastAPI dependency injection, RBAC or multi-tenant systems.
  • Docker, GitHub Actions CI/CD, Azure or similar cloud environments.
  • Geospatial data (PostGIS, maps) or telecom domain experience.
  • Workflow orchestration (Prefect or similar).

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A chance to shape a product end to end — from data model to user experience — in a rapidly evolving, AI-supported platform.
  • Real ownership of what you build, with the freedom to influence how we develop and operate.
  • A modern engineering environment that values collaboration, ownership, and open communication.
  • Room to grow toward backend depth, frontend craft, or AI-powered product work — supported by learning and hands-on experience.
