Company Description Mirzo Ulug‘bek vorislari markazi is an educational initiative focused on preparing students for careers in Data Science and the broader digital economy of Uzbekistan. The program brings together motivated learners from all regions, offering a modern learning environment, expert mentorship, and a practice-oriented curriculum. It is fully funded and free of charge, supported by the Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan. The third cohort (2025–2026) will expand to 160 seats, up from 60 students in each of the first two cohorts, while maintaining rigorous selection standards and strong support for talented youth. The center’s mission is to build participants’ skills in data analysis, programming, and modern technologies so graduates can confidently solve real-world challenges in the country’s fast-growing digital sector.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Xorazm Region, Uzbekistan, for a Full-Stack Engineer specializing in Android (Jetpack Compose) and web development, with an interest in Rust and emerging technologies. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Jetpack Compose and modern Android tooling, while also building responsive web applications and internal tools for the program’s learning and management platforms. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with educators and product stakeholders to translate educational and operational needs into technical solutions, implementing clean and maintainable code, performing code reviews, and ensuring performance, reliability, and security across mobile and web systems. The role also involves integrating APIs and data pipelines, supporting data-driven features, documenting technical solutions, and mentoring students or junior developers where needed. The successful candidate will actively explore new technologies, contribute to architectural discussions, and help shape the technical direction of the center’s digital ecosystem.
Qualifications

• Mobile development skills: experience with Android development, Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, and modern Android architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Web development skills: proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar) and basic back-end development using frameworks like Node.js, Django, or comparable tools.
• Backend and systems skills: understanding of RESTful API design, relational or NoSQL databases, and interest or foundational knowledge in Rust for systems programming or backend services.
• Software engineering practices: ability to write clean, testable code, familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD workflows, and basic knowledge of security, performance optimization, and debugging techniques.
• Collaboration and communication: strong teamwork and communication skills, ability to work with non-technical stakeholders, and willingness to support learners in a training-focused environment.
