This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full-Stack Developer - EDS based in the United States.

The Full-Stack Developer will build and maintain high-performance, composable web experiences using Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) and modern web technologies. You will take hands-on ownership of production websites, reusable components, performance optimization, integrations, and deployment workflows. The role combines deep front-end engineering with back-end, API, DevOps, and edge-platform capabilities. You will work directly with clients on complex digital projects, translating evolving requirements into scalable technical solutions and explaining trade-offs clearly. You will also collaborate across engineering and content teams to improve document-based authoring and digital delivery workflows. This is a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment suited to an independent engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, experimenting with modern development tools, and taking ownership of meaningful client outcomes.

Accountabilities

  • Design, build, test, and maintain high-performance, edge-rendered websites and web applications using Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS), with reusable, semantic, and performant blocks and components built with native JavaScript, HTML5, and modern CSS3.
  • Provide secondary ownership and technical backup for existing EDS-based digital properties, ensuring continuity, coverage, and collaborative architectural decision-making.
  • Configure and scaffold new EDS projects using AEM boilerplate, including .hlx project configuration, routing and rewrites, and config.yaml.
  • Own web performance optimization by tuning eager, lazy, and delayed loading phases and programmatic auto-blocking to achieve strong Core Web Vitals, including LCP, INP, and CLS, as well as high Lighthouse performance.
  • Configure and optimize document-based authoring workflows involving Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Document Authoring.
  • Manage Git-first development and deployment workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions, while supporting CDN and edge configuration, caching, and TTL strategies.
  • Act as a client-facing technical resource, translating business and technical requirements into practical solutions and communicating technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Integrate EDS-delivered experiences with broader Adobe technologies, including AEM Assets and headless APIs, as well as CRM and MarTech platforms where required.
  • Use AI and agentic coding tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor to plan, decompose, execute, and review development work.
  • Participate in technical discovery, estimation, solution design, project kickoffs, and client delivery discussions as needed.
  • Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while contributing to code reviews, engineering standards, and development best practices.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional full-stack development experience, including 2+ years of hands-on experience building, testing, and launching production websites with Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS), or a strong AEM background with the ability to ramp up quickly on EDS.
  • Expert-level proficiency in native/vanilla JavaScript (ES6+), semantic HTML5, and modern CSS3, including custom properties, Grid, and Flexbox.
  • Strong technical judgment around when to use native web technologies versus heavier frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue for EDS-based experiences.
  • Proven experience optimizing Core Web Vitals, including Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), as well as Lighthouse performance.
  • Working proficiency with React and Next.js for non-EDS front-end applications and internal tools.
  • Advanced Git and GitHub expertise, including branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and CI automation such as GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tooling beyond basic GitHub Actions usage, including CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, or cloud deployment.
  • Experience with document-based authoring systems and document-to-HTML content workflows.
  • Back-end development and API integration experience using REST, GraphQL, or similar technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders in a client-facing technical role.
  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments where priorities and requirements can evolve quickly.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, combined with the professional maturity to become a trusted long-term technical partner.
  • Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of deliverables, and making sound technical decisions with limited day-to-day direction.
  • Experience migrating legacy AEM Sites using HTL/Sightly, OSGi, or Sling Models to modern EDS architectures is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI development workflows, including planning multi-step technical work for AI agents and using agentic coding tools within production codebases, is preferred.
  • Experience with .NET/C# for back-end services or API development is a plus.
  • Experience with edge/CDN technologies such as Fastly or Cloudflare, including caching strategies and Edge-Side Includes (ESI), is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the broader Adobe Experience Cloud, including Adobe Target, Adobe Launch/Web SDK, and AEM Assets, is advantageous.
  • Digital agency or consulting experience supporting multiple concurrent client engagements is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SEO fundamentals, Open Graph and schema configuration, and edge-side analytics implementation is desirable.
  • Adobe certifications are a plus.
  • Candidates must have current authorization to work in the United States or Canada. U.S.-based candidates must be eligible to work without requiring sponsorship.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Benefits

  • Remote opportunity based in the United States.
  • Base salary range of $130,000–$145,000 USD per year.
  • Compensation determined by factors including skill set, relevant education, experience, certifications, and scope of responsibilities.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Life and AD&D insurance.
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (FTO).
  • Additional ancillary benefits and employee perks.
  • Accommodations available for candidates with disabilities throughout the selection process.
  • Opportunity to work on complex digital transformation projects and modern web architectures across multiple client engagements.
