2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer leads technical execution within Product Engineering teams, focusing on developing scalable and reliable API-driven services and event-driven architectures. This role is pivotal in delivering customer and product-centric capabilities, addressing performance and scalability risks, and fostering innovation and technical excellence across the organization.

3. Responsibilities:

• Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable, reliable services, APIs, and integrations.

• Ensure code quality and implement safe production deployment strategies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers through knowledge sharing and guidance.

• Partner with Engineering Managers on team performance evaluations and hiring.

• Stay informed on industry trends and incorporate innovative technologies.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to shape organizational technical strategy.

• Influence technical practices and business value through internal and external publishing.

• Perform additional duties supporting organizational priorities.

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 10+ years of software development experience with backend Java expertise.

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.

• Expertise with Spring Framework and RESTful API development.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture.

• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Collaborative experience with frontend frameworks like React or Angular.

• Knowledge of Lean software development, pair programming, TDD, and trunk based development.

• Awareness of continuous integration and delivery tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making.

• Effective communication and collaboration in remote team environments.

• Customer and product-focused mindset with commitment to quality.
